Terms of use
Effective October 20, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Mason Ezell ("Jerry"), an individual doing business as Dear Bot ("Dear Bot", "we") for using getdearbot.com and the Dear Bot service. By subscribing or using the site, you agree to them.
1. What Dear Bot is
Dear Bot publishes "setups": written descriptions of drafts-only routines that your own AI assistant (for example Meta Muse, Hark, or Grok Bot) can build if you say yes. We don't operate your assistant and can't control it. Your assistant's maker sets its rules, and your use of it is governed by their terms.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms. You may only subscribe an email address you control, or your assistant's address with your permission.
3. Drafts only, and your part
- Every setup is designed to make summaries and drafts only, and never to send, buy, post, or delete. We test each one before we publish it.
- Assistants can still make mistakes, misread a setup, or behave differently after an update. You stay responsible for your assistant, its approval settings, and anything it does in your accounts. Keep "ask before sending or paying" turned on, and review drafts before you use them.
- Setups are general information, not medical, legal, financial, or tax advice.
4. Free service
Dear Bot is free for users. We may later show clearly labeled sponsor lines or partner setups. A partner setup will always say so. Using setups may use part of your assistant plan's own usage limits.
5. Acceptable use
Don't sign up other people without their permission, misuse or overload the service, try to break its security, use it to send spam, or copy and republish our setups as your own service. We may suspend access that breaks these rules.
6. Our content
We own the Dear Bot name, site, and setups. You may use setups for yourself and your household, and share a setup's public link with friends.
7. Ending it
You can unsubscribe or delete your data at any time (see the Privacy policy). We may change, pause, or stop the service or any setup. Setups already built in your account stay yours to keep or remove.
8. No warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the fullest extent the law allows.
9. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Dear Bot isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for anything your assistant or a third-party service does. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above and email subscribers before it takes effect. Continuing to use Dear Bot after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the operator lives, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please write to us first. Most problems can be fixed by email.
